Confirmation

Confirmation, along with the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist, constitute the Sacraments of Initiation. The Sacrament of Confirmation is imparted with two sacred signs: the laying on of hands and the anointing with the oil of Chrism. These signs set the seal of the Holy Spirit upon us which marks our total belonging to Christ.

Our Confirmation program will be transitioning to confirming students in the fall of their 9th Grade year after completion of required formation. The goal of our confirmation program is to help participants better understand the Catholic faith and the role of Confirmation in the life of a Catholic today.
 

Incoming 8th Graders will be preparing for Confirmation this year. 

All candidates are required to attend the Confirmation Retreat on September 4, 2024, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Also, the Fall 2025 Retreat, Reconciliation and Rehearsal (dates to be determined) 

Confirmation: October 12, 2025 (Fall of 9th Grade Year)

***With All Options - Attendance required at the SEPT 2024 Kick Off Evening - 5:30-8:30pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 - PLEASE NOTE EXTENDED TIME!

***With All Options - Attendance required at Two MSYM "Summit" Evenings from 6:30-8:30pm of your choice - SIGN IN TO GET CREDIT - see calendar for options. 

***With All Options - Attendance required at FALL 2025 Final Prep Events - One Day Retreat, Reconciliation Service, and Rehearsal are MANDATORY!


Incoming 9^th graders have completed prep for Confirmation for this year and DO NOT need to register for a new class.

• Confirmation will be on October 13, 2024.  
• ALL candidates are REQUIRED to attend the FALL CONFIRMATION RETREAT on SEPT 15^th (12N-through 5:30pm Mass), Reconciliation and Rehearsal on Oct 6^th. (Makeup options will be assigned if an event is missed)
• NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  They are carried on last year’s roster.
