6th & 7th GRADE MIDDLE SCHOOL FAITH FORMATION
All 6th and 7th graders are invited to grow in their faith through our exciting and interactive middle school programming. We will cover the major areas of Catholic formation during these years as students study God, Revelation and Faith, Jesus the Christ, The Holy Spirit and the Church, Liturgy and Sacraments, Christian Morality and Justice, and Prayer. Youth will be encouraged to apply what they learn to their daily lives and will discuss how their faith is being lived out. Besides “class” sessions youth are encouraged to participate in weekly liturgies, youth ministry, and service opportunities offered throughout the year.
Please see the calendar on the left Navigation Pane for scheduling information.(This will be split up by grades to conquer social distancing concerns, each grade will meet for nine sessions. The remaining Wednesdays will be for Middle School Youth Ministry.)
6th Grade Faith Formation -Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm: 9-13, 10-4, 11-8, 12-6, 1-10, 1-31, 2-28, 3-20, 4-17
7th Grade Faith Formation -Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm: 9-20, 10-11, 11-15, 12-13, 1-17, 2-7, 3-6, 4-3, 4-24
Every class session will be designed to be engaging, interactive, and challenging. Students will meet as a whole group, but will have small groups for deeper discussion and activity surrounding the lesson. Various prayer experiences will be included with each class.Parents are urged to consider volunteering in the middle school program as a Middle School Mentor!

To register for Confirmation (Incoming 8th Grade) Please Choose from the following options:
All candidates are required to attend the Confirmation Retreat on September 27, 2023, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Also, the Fall 2024 Retreat, Reconciliation and Rehearsal (dates to be determined)
Confirmation: October 13, 2024
1. Traditional Faith Formation- Attend the yearlong 1 meeting/month model from 7:00-8:30pm - 8 sessions-10-25, 11-29, 12-20, 1-24, 2-21, 3-13, 4-10, 5-1. (One absence allowed)
2. Cor Christi Institute -they MUST attend 1 week during the Summer of 2024 (2 full week options- Dates TBA) Must register during Corpus Christi’s Fall Online Registration.
3. Combo-Traditional Faith Formation Class plus Cor Christi Institute.

Incoming 9th graders have completed prep for Confirmation for this year.- Confirmation will be on October 8, 2024.
- ALL candidates are REQUIRED to attend the FALL CONFIRMATION RETREAT on SEPT 17th (12N-through 5:30pm Mass), Reconciliation Oct 1st, Rehearsal Oct 7th. (Makeup options will be assigned if an event is missed)
- NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. They are carried on last year’s roster.
